By booking or attending a lesson with Bloxademy, you agree to the following Terms of Service.
1. NO REFUNDS
a. All bookings are final. Once a lesson is booked and confirmed, no refunds will be issued.
b. Students are responsible for ensuring their availability before making a reservation.
2. MISSED LESSON POLICY
a. Students must join the scheduled lesson within 5 minutes of the listed start time.
- "Joining" means being present in the Google Meet link provided at booking.
b. Students must join independently using the provided link.
- Tutors are not required to initiate contact or provide reminders via other platforms.
c. Failure to attend without prior notice or rescheduling will result in a no-show.
d. For no-shows, a credit equal to the value of the missed session will be issued.
e. Credits may be used toward a future booking of equal or greater value.
- Any difference must be paid at checkout.
f. A 3-strike policy applies:
- After 3 no-shows, the 4th no-show will NOT qualify for a credit.
- The payment will be forfeited.
- After the 4th no-show, the strike count resets.
g. A one-time exception for a 4th no-show may be requested via support@bloxademy.com.
- Exceptions are not guaranteed.
h. Lessons cannot be rescheduled or cancelled within 4 hours of the start time.
- Missing such lessons will be treated as a no-show.
3. LESSON ATTENDANCE RESTRICTIONS
a. Bloxademy reserves the right to restrict or deny access to future lessons where repeated absenteeism impacts scheduling fairness for other students.
4. CREDIT LIMITATIONS
a. Credits are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash or any other form of value.
b. Credits must be applied during the booking process.
- If the credit does not cover the full cost, the remaining balance must be paid.
5. ROBUX PAYMENTS FOR CREDITS
a. All Robux payments are final.
b. No refunds are available for Robux transactions.
c. Students must ensure they intend to use the purchased credit prior to payment.
6. PAYMENT AND CONFIRMATION
a. Bookings are only confirmed once full payment has been received.
b. Payments must be made through official Bloxademy systems.
- Direct or manual payments to individuals are not recognised and are not eligible for credit or refund.
7. REPORTING MALICIOUS CONTRACT BREACHES
a. Bloxademy reserves the right to report malicious or fraudulent breaches of these terms to relevant authorities or affiliated organisations.
8. SERVICE SUSPENSION
a. Bloxademy reserves the right to suspend or terminate services at any time, for any reason, including individual users.
9. COMMUNICATION PROTOCOL
a. Bloxademy aims to respond promptly; however, responses outside lesson hours are not guaranteed.
b. Communication should be clear, concise, and directly relevant.
10. BENEFITS
a. Any supplementary materials (e.g. slides, worksheets, tools) are for personal use only.
- They must not be copied, distributed, or shared.
b. These materials are provided on a complimentary basis and may be modified or withdrawn at any time without notice.
11. TRANSACTIONS, RESCHEDULING, AND ATTENDANCE
a. Once a time slot is selected and payment is completed, the booking is confirmed.
b. If Bloxademy is unable to attend a lesson:
- A credit will be issued
- Additional compensation may be provided
c. Refunds are not offered unless explicitly stated.
d. If Bloxademy reschedules a lesson:
- The student will be notified
- The booking will be reassigned
e. If the new time is unsuitable:
- A refund will NOT be issued
f. Lessons begin and end at the scheduled time.
- Arriving late (within 5 minutes) does NOT extend the session
g. Arriving more than 5 minutes late:
-> Results in a no-show
h. Students must always use the official Meet link provided at booking.
i. If a tutor is late:
-> The full lesson duration begins upon their arrival
12. REJECTED LESSONS
a. If Bloxademy is unable to attend and rescheduling is not possible:
-> The lesson is marked as "rejected"
-> A credit is issued
b. Rejected credits must be used for future bookings or applied toward larger invoices.
c. A "rejected" lesson specifically refers to failure or cancellation by Bloxademy without adequate notice.
d. After 3 rejected lessons:
-> The 4th will result in additional compensation
-> The counter resets
13. SERVICE MISUSE
a. Service misuse includes (but is not limited to):
- Trolling
- Harassment
- Booking for non-tutoring purposes
- Attempting personal contact outside intended use
b. Bloxademy reserves the right to cancel or refuse bookings suspected of misuse.
c. Determinations may be made based on behaviour, patterns, or account information.
14. STATUS DESCRIPTIONS
a. Lesson statuses are defined as follows:
Approved:
-> The lesson is confirmed or completed
Pending:
-> Action is required (e.g. payment or additional information)
Cancelled:
-> The session will not take place
-> May occur due to:
- Student cancellation
- Bloxademy cancellation with notice
- Service misuse
-> Credits are issued in all cases EXCEPT misuse
Rejected:
-> Bloxademy failed to attend or cancelled without sufficient notice
-> A credit is issued
No-show:
-> The student failed to attend (see Section 2)
15. LESSON RECORDINGS
a. Bloxademy records tutoring sessions for:
- Quality assurance
- Safeguarding
- Internal training
- Student revision and review
b. Recording practices are disclosed within:
- This agreement
- Lesson descriptions (including booking and calendar information)
-> By booking or attending a lesson, students acknowledge recording may take place
c. Recordings may include:
- Audio
- Video
- Screen content
- Shared materials
d. Students may opt out at any time via:
-> StudentHub profile settings
-> Direct contact with Bloxademy
-> Bloxademy will take reasonable steps to prevent recording where opted out
-> Technical limitations may occasionally result in unintended recording
e. Recordings are stored securely and are accessible only to:
- The relevant student
- Bloxademy staff for the purposes listed above
f. Recordings may be retained for a reasonable period:
-> Then deleted or anonymised
g. Students may request copies of recordings:
-> Access via StudentHub may be provided where available
h. Recordings will NOT be shared publicly or with third parties:
-> Unless required by law or with explicit consent
